Sustainable Garden Rotation

Compost Nitrogen & Carbon Super Power
Dry/Brown = Carbon Rich Organic Material

Examples:
- Dry leaves
- Twigs & sticks
- Egg cartons
- Paper & Cardboard
- Woodchips & Sawdust

Wet/Green = Nitrogen Rich Organic Material
Examples:
- Fruit & veggie scraps
- Grass clippings
- Legumes like beans and snow peas are very rich in nitrogen

*For every amount of green/wet material add 2-3 times more brown/dry material. Compost should be moist, not soggy.
Nitrogen and Carbon promote microbial activity turning your compost into rich soil.
Microorganisms recycle components into elements that plants can use to stay healthy and grow.
Fun Fact: More than half of our genes are microbes. We are essentially a living community!
